Dianne Younker Longley

Surrounded by family and close friends, Dianne passed away on Monday, November 22nd, 2010 at Princess Margaret Hospital at the age of 46. Beloved wife of David and loving and devoted mother of Ava. Cherished daughter of George and Sally Younker. Dear sister of Robert Younker (Frances), Barbara Smith (Andrew) and Janet Campbell (Daniel). Special aunt to Ben, Alex, George, Grace, Maggie and Lauren. Beloved daughter-in-law to Carol and Hew Prouse, and Brian Longley, and sister-in-law to Karen Neave and Kim Guidolin (Patrick). Dianne will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends. Her passion for family, motherhood and maternal infant care was expressed through both her professional and personal lives. A celebration of Dianne's life was held at Maple Grove United Church in Oakville, Ontario on Saturday, November 27nd, 2010. A private family interment will take place in P.E.I. on Saturday, December 11, 2010. Following the interment, the Younker and Longley families will receive visitors at a reception to be held from 11:30 to 1:00 at the Winsloe United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of New Brunswick's Faculty of Nursing, to establish a prize for the student who best demonstrates leadership in the area of Maternal Child nursing.
