With heavy hearts, the family of Charles Todd, great Dad and proud Grampy announce his passing on December 3, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a short illness. Born November 1928, he was the son of the late Walter Todd and Josephine Viger Todd. He was the last remaining member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his brothers Harold, Frank, John, Fred and Bobby and sisters Laura, Margaret, Edna and Dorothy. Leaving behind his wife Carol Noftell Todd of 53 years, daughter Cynthia O'Toole (Patrick); grandchildren Corp. Joshua Todd O'Toole (Ashley Dawn Withers) of Pembroke, ON, Jael Rose O'Toole and Bethany Ann O'Toole all of Saint John; several nieces and nephews. In younger years he loved harness racing, fly fishing on the Hammond River, Baseball and Hockey and loved New River Beach. He worked for Maritime Cartons for many years.
Following cremation, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated from St. Ann's Catholic Church on Monday December 6, 2010 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
