Robin Lianne Thorsen, 22, of Truro, Nova Scotia, passed away on Wednesday December 1, 2010.
Beloved daughter of Patricia and Terry Thorsen, Robin graduated from Cobequid Educational Centre in 2006 and received a BSc. in Neuroscience
from Dalhousie University in 2010. She was an accomplished musician and chess player. Robin loved her time at Dal and the friends that she had there. She enjoyed working with children at Veith Houseand volunteering at the IWK.
Robin was a bright light that shone too briefly. She is survived by her parents, her sister Karen Thorsen, maternal grandparents Genevaand Herve Deveau of Moncton, Gisele Deveau of Moncton, Denis and Maia Deveau of Fredericton, Spencer and Debbie Thorsen of Ottawa, Rob Thorsen of Ottawa,
as well as cousins Katie, Victoria, Zachary and Mackenzie.
She was predeceased by, paternal grandparents Joyce and Ken Thorsen.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Immaculate Conception Church, Truro with Father Dariusz Miskowicz officiating. Interment will follow in Bible Hill Cemetery, Bible Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
