WEBB, James (Jim) - Passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at the Health Sciences Complex on Thursday, December 2, 2010. Jim Webb, aged 58 years, was called by the angels to earn his wings. Jim was born in Happy Valley Goose Bay, Labrador and resided in Foxtrap, Conception Bay South. Predeceased by son Matthew James, father Eric, mother Polly, father-in-law Lester Snelgrove and sister-in-law Olga Penney. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Olive (nee Snelgrove); sons Adam (Elizabeth) and Mitchell (Kristen - friend); sister Ann (Tom Lethbridge); nephew Christopher (Robin); half-brother Edward Winters (son of Polly); loving mother-in-law Gertrude Snelgrove; sisters-in-law Marie (Jerry Whelan), Donna (Owen Meadus), Sandra (Mark Gagne); brothers-in-law John Snelgrove (Kim) and Wally Penney (Roxanne). He will be especially missed by his great-nephew Eric and his faithful companion Max; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and loving friends who span from Torbay, Newfoundland, to the coast of Labrador. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Saturday, December 4 and Sunday, December 5 from (2-4) and (7-9). Funeral service will be held from Wesley United Church on Monday, December 6 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
