With great sadness, we announce the passing of April Bramwell, 30, of 6th Street, Glace Bay, on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
Born in Glace Bay, April was the daughter of William 'Bill' and Anna (Ulrich) Bramwell.
April graduated from Marconi Campus with her LPN in June of 2007.
She was always known for her warm smile and big heart. April had a love for children and animals, especially her dog, Brutus and her cats.
April was a member of St. John's Church, No. 2, Glace Bay.
Besides her parents, April was survived by the love of her life, her fiancé, Brian Marchand, Isle Madame; a sister, Dawn (Todd) and her two special nieces, Nikayla who was by her side when she passed away, and Bailey, all from Glace Bay. Left to mourn her death are many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her dearly.
April was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Frank and Rita Ulrich, paternal grandparents, Arthur and Bertha Bramwell, her fiancé's mother, Delrose Marchand and cousin, Cathy Thompson.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the V. J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. The funeral mass, officiated by Rev. Leo Boone is Tuesday at 2 p.m. in St. John's Church followed by interment in the parish cemetery. Reception to follow in the parish hall.
