It is with great sadness that the family of the late Winston Harold Roland Wiseman announces his sudden passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL on Monday, December 6th, 2010, at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Phyllis (Myles Griffin) of Pasadena, Juanita (Arthur Elms) of Deer Lake, Christine (Gerry Carroll) of Deer Lake, Winston (Lorraine) of Deer Lake, Jane Wiseman (Jeff Wolfe) of Deer Lake, Rhonda (Brian Boyle) of Deer Lake, Roddrick (Camilla) of Toronto, Craig (Beulah) of Pasadena, Terry Wiseman (Sharon Kelloway) of Deer Lake, Maxwell of Deer Lake, Anthony (Carla) of NS, Glynn (Torena) of Deer Lake, his 28 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, his siblings: Maxwell (Lydia) of Stephenville, Mrs. Edith Turner of Deer Lake, Tony (Marie) of Cormack, Betty (Tim Hoban) of NB, William Wiseman (Betty Tucker) of Deer Lake, and Linda Wiseman of Deer Lake, his sister-in-law Lorraine Wiseman of Ottawa. Father was predeceased by his parents Dorothy & William Wiseman, his wife Julia Doreen (nee Cross), his brother John, his sisters: Audrey, Haggart and Joan Wiseman, his brother-in-law Gerald Turner and sister-in-law Olive (nee Owens); also leaves to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family, friends and his extended families. The family will be receiving family and friends from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, today Tuesday, December 7th, 2010, from the hours of 7 - 9 pm, and continuing on Wednesday, December 8th, 2010 from the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at St. Michaels & All Angels Anglican Church in Deer Lake on Thursday, December 9th, 2010 at 2 pm with the Canon John Meade officiating, with the burial to follow at the church cemetery at Wight's Road, Deer Lake, NL.
