LUEDEE, Mary Joan Elizabeth - 70, Brooklyn, Hants Co., passed away peacefully at Hants Community Hospital on Sunday, November 28, 2010. Born September 17, 1940 in Windsor, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Bridget (Clarke) Luedee. Mary worked at the Windsor Elms for 15 years and worked for homecare for 10 years. Mary was known for looking after the elderly with private homecare until October 2010. Mary was predeceased by daughter, Cindy Miles and two granddaughters in infancy. She is survived by daughters, Sandra (Steve) Riley, Newport Station; Kim (Frank) Dearman, Brooklyn; Amanda (Randy) Stewart, Port Hawkesbury; sons, Tim Foley, Windsor; Mike (Kim) Anthony, Windsor; Gary (Cheryl) Anthony, Aylesford; Gordon "Spit" Anthony, Windsor; Nick (Shannon) Stewart, Shelburne; sister, Katherine Voss, Windsor; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law Michelle Ross. Mary cherished her dog, Pretzel. Arrangements were entrusted to Lohnes-DeMont Funeral Service Ltd., 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where the family received visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, December 1. Funeral service was held 2 p.m. Thursday, December 2 in Lohnes-DeMont Funeral Service Chapel, Rev. Tom Henderson officiated, a reception followed in the funeral home's Elmcroft Reception Centre. Private family interment took place in St. John's Parish Cemetery. Donations in memory of Mary may be made to a charity of one's choice.
