At the Foyer Assomption Hospital of Rogersville, on Monday, December 6th, 2010, surround by his family, passed away at the age of 85, Firmin Légère, husband of Ella Goguen. Born on May 14, 1925, he was the son of late Fidèle Légère and late Marie Richard. As well as his wife, he his survive by five sons: Serge (Rachelle) Black's Harbour, Daniel (Lisa) South Tetagouche, Yves (Anne) St-Stephen, Jean-Guy (Susan) Ludlow, Carl (Lisa) Taymouth; two grandsons: Alex and Nicholas; four sisters: Jeanne (Joséphat) Thibault Acadieville, Carmen (Sylvain) St-Louis, Elise (Lewis) Bourque Acadieville and Emma (feu Eloi) Thébeau Gardner, Mass.; two brothers: Roger (Jeannette) St-Stephen and Abel (Léa) Ste-Marie; three sisters in law: Hazel (late Jean), Jeannine (late Eloi) and Bertha (late Marc) as well as many nieces and nephews. Firmin was predeceased by one sister Célina as well as three brothers: Eloi, Marc and Jean.
Firmin was a veteran of the second world war.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the salon 'La Colombe' 11325 route 126 of Rogersville, this Wednesday, December 8th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Thursday from 1pm until the departure. The funeral service will be held at the St-Francois de Sales RC church of Rogersville, at 3pm. Donation to the Alzheimers Society, Fondation des Amies du 3e Ages or any foundation of their choice will be appreciated.
