MYLER, Patrick Joseph — Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion on Thursday, October 9, 2008, Patrick Myler, aged 88 years. A veteran of WWII with the 59th Newfoundland Heavy Regiment Royal Artillery. Predeceased by his wife Theresa (Molloy); son Gerry and daughter-in-law Diane (Roach) Myler; four sisters: Mary Byrne, Margaret Brown, Florence Hammond and Ann Dunn; three brothers: James, Frank and Kevin. Left with cherished memories his children: Sidney, Don (Laurie), Doug (Allie), Tony, Patsy O’Neill (Ron), Barbara Howe (Jeff), Judy Baker and Elizabeth Myler; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters: Helen Smyth, Kay Mills, Irene Casseli (Joseph) and Pauline Myler; sisters-in-law: Marg Myler, Sylvia Myler and Kitty Saunig, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of the Veterans Pavilion, especially the third floor staff, for the dignified care provided. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Funeral Mass to be celebrated from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
