It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric Durnford announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the age of 67 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Eileen and two daughters: Cindy (Roger) Barker of Kippens, Charlene (Tim) Alexander of Kippens and three brothers: Alex (Shirley) Durnford of Bedford, Nova Scotia, Jack Durnford of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Philip (Rosemary) Durnford of Milltown, NL, one step-brother, Roy (Violet) LaFosse of Pasadena and one sister, Sadie MacLellan of Sarnia, Ontario, one step-sister Evelyn (Riley) Durnford of Francois and 3 grandchildren: Katelyn Barker, Sarah Barker, Marissa Alexander and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: John and Mary Durnford and step-mother Bertha Durnford. Friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday, December 10th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Anglican Church, Hillview Avenue, Stephenville with Rev. Canon Dawn Barrett officiating. Interment to follow at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
