We, the family of the late Patrick 'Paddy' Cadegan, New Waterford, regret to announce his sudden passing on Dec. 9, 2010, outside his home at age 69.
Born in Glace Bay he was an avid fisherman and hunter in his younger years.
Pat is survived by his wife, Kathleen 'Kay' Cadegan; stepson, Michael (Gloria) Kehoe and special grandchildren, Tristen and Destiny Kehoe. He will also be very sadly missed by his cousin whom he thought of as a son, David Tucker.
Pat was predeceased by his best friend and aunt, Hazel Winters.
He had many good friends and was well known in both Glace Bay and Grand Mira North.
At his request there will be no visitation. There will be a small family service to celebrate the life of the late Patrick Allan Cadegan at the Pier Community Funeral Home, All Faith Chapel, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010 at 1 p.m. with Fr. Errol MacDonald officiating.
Donations in Patrick's memory may be made to charity of one's choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
