Edmond Gagnon, passed away with his family by his side on Friday, December 10, 2010 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton at the age of 92 years, after a brief illness. Born in August 22, 1918, he was the son of the late Sylfred and Marie (Dupré) Gagnon. Edmond was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and will fondly be remembered by his five children, Louise McKee (Paul), Marie Thérèse Brun (Michel), Ronald (Raymonde) and Normand (Thérèse) all of Grand Barachois, Roger (Nicole) of Shediac Cape; eight grandchildren: Patrick, Kevin, Lisa, Sean, Renée, Colette, Jean-Marc and Gino. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary and Louise and by many nieces, nephews and friends. Edmond is predeceased by his beloved wife of 65 years, Juliette (Gagnon) Gagnon who passed away suddenly on December 1, 2010, a daughter Murielle at the age of 14 months in 1956 and by a brother Joseph "Joe" Gagnon in 2005. A young man at heart, Edmond will be remembered for enjoying life to the fullest, he was physically active until his illness. His passions were his family and especially his grandchildren, hockey, flying and piloting his own plane, harness racing and golf. He was the founder, owner and operator of several family enterprises in the Seafood Industry. A hockey enthusiast, his devotion and support of the New Brunswick Hockey Leagues will never be forgotten. He was inducted in the Moncton Sports Wall of Fame.
