Ruby Anderson

Ruby Love Anderson, 94, of Petitcodiac, and formerly of Albert, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2010 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in West River, she was a daughter of the late William "Botsford" and Annie (Cooper) Lyman, and she was the wife of the late Curtis Anderson. Ruby was the last surviving member of the Waterside Baptist Church, and she was the organizer of the annual church service for the last 36 years. She was also accredited with the fund raising and restoration of the Waterside Baptist Cemetery. She was recognized provincially for volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society for 30 years. Ruby will be fondly remembered for her knitting of her wool socks. She is survived by her daughters: Joan MacDonald (Frank) of Petitcodiac, and Elsie Constantine (Rheal Henri) of Moncton; her grandchildren: Brian Constantine (Darlene), Brent Constantine (Kelly), Heather Tingley (Gregg) and Billy MacDonald (Terri); her great-grandchildren: Lacey, Lance, Christopher, Colton, Maggie, Rebecca, Shane, Zoe, Nathan, and Dakota; and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Ruby was predeceased by her infant daughter, Betty Ann; her son, Floyd Anderson; her sisters: Anne Randall, Suzy Marie Danniely, Sadie Kennie, Mildred Carlin, Neta Hendy, Alberta Fullerton and Dolly Last; her brothers: Henry, Victor, Elijah, Murray, Judson, and Raymond.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm; the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jack Allen presiding, all in Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac. Interment will be held in the Waterside Baptist Cemetery.
