It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Gerald Joseph Legere on December 11th, 2010 at the Hospice Residence in West Saint John. He was born in Rogersville, New Brunswick on May 2nd, 1932. He was the son of the late Alfred and Flavie (Guymond) Legere. He is survived by his wife Alice (Bourque), two sons -Francis (Margaret), Reginald (Amy), three daughters - Edwina, Florence (Brian) McLaughlin, Francine (Paul) Glover, and one sister Alfreda Legere. He is also survived by seven grandchildren - Erin, Ian, Mark, Allyson, Rachelle, Hannah and Kevin. He was predeceased by five brothers, two sisters, nieces and nephews.
Resting at "La Colombe" Funeral Cooperative, 11325 hwy 126 in Rogersville, N.B., with visitation hours on Tuesday, December 14th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A funeral of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 15th, 2010 at 10:30 am at the Saint Francois de Salles RC church in Rogersville, N.B. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Bobby House, Hospice Residence or The Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to express deep gratitude to Gerald's caregivers, Rowenna, Clarence, Linda and Janet for the extraordinary care and compassion shown to him during his illness. Additionally, a deep "thank you" to the staff members and volunteers of The Bobby House for their special care to Gerald and warm kindness to his family members.
