The family of the late Gordon (Gordie) Buchanan would like to express our sincere thanks to our family, friends, neighbours and co-workers for their support and sympathy during such a difficult time. Thank you to everyone who offered their condolences, visited, telephoned, brought food, sent flowers, sympathy and Mass cards, e-mailed and made charitable donations in Gordie’s name. To those who visited the funeral home and attended the funeral, we are grateful. Words cannot express our thanks to Dr. Isabelle Dugas and her Palliative Care team who provided such excellent care, comfort and support during those final days. We would like to extend our appreciation to Father Doug MacDonald for his prayers and Sacrament of the Sick. Special thanks to Father Gerald Campbell for his prayers at the funeral home and officiating at the funeral Mass. In addition, our thanks to the altar servers, St. James’ choir, organist and the luncheon committee and to everyone who participated in the funeral service. Thank you to readers: Cheryl MacPherson and Pearl Farrow and to Eucharistic Minister: Kaitlyn MacPherson.
