LITTLE RIVER, NB The death of Elizabeth Mitchell, age 78, occurred suddenly at her home on Thursday, December 9, 2010.
Born in Londonderry, NS, she was a daughter of the late Ulysses and Mabel (Pugsley) Morrison.
A home body, she lived for her husband, her animals, friends and family. Marrying Aubrey Mitchell in 1950, she moved with her husband to Lewisville, retiring later to Little River, NB where she fed and cared for numerous animals, tame and feral. She leaves to mourn sister Dorothy, numerous nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in-law. She was predeceased by her husband, Aubrey, siblings, Florence (November 2010), Eva, Cecil, Tommy and Earl.
Elizabeth's remains have been cremated under the direction of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst (902-667-8777) from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 2 pm, Rev. Susan Estabrooks officiating. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 pm until the time of the funeral at 2.
