BIBLE HILL - Lena Mae Dwyer, 84, Bible Hill, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, VG Site, Halifax.
Born in Hadleyville, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Wentworth and Mary Ada (Porper) Hadley.
Lena was employed at Stanfield's Ltd. as a machine operator for a number of years, the Youth Training Center, Bible Hill and for a time as a cook at the Bible Hill Junior High School. She was an adherent of St. George's Anglican Church.
She is survived by son, Raymond (Charlotte), Valley Road, Manganese Mines, East Mountain; daughter, Linda (Ross), Lyon's Brook, Pictou Co.; grandsons, Corey and Derek; sisters, Mary Alice Allen, Florence MacDonald, all of New Glasgow; brother, Earl, Montreal.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest "Ernie" Aubrey; sister, Margaret Hadley; brothers, Lewis, Ernest, Thomas and Howard.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 15 from 3-6 p.m., with a memorial service on Thursday, December 16 at 2 p.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Lori Ramsey officiating. Interment in Bible Hill Cemetery.
