POWER, Joan — Johanna (Joan) (nee Donnelly) Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park on Saturday, October 11th, 2008. Joan Marie Power, aged 82 years. Predeceased by her husband Tom (1997) and brother Leo (1980). Left with cherished memories four daughters: Patsy Reddy, husband Fred (Butch), Maureen Barron (husband Jim) of Nanaimo B.C., Donna Pearse (husband Byron) Calgary, Alta. and Sharon Hayes (husband Gerard) Kamloops, B.C.; grandchildren: Dawn Allen (Darien) Grande Prairie, Alta, Krista Power (Kevin), Danielle Swain (Justin), Karl Reddy (Maria Hann), Christopher Barron (Kimberly), Dana and Colin Hutchings and Courtney Hayes; great grandchildren: Nicholas and Katie Power. Also leaving to mourn loving brothers: Bill Donnelly of Mississauga Ont., David Dunne (Betty) of Mount Pearl and sister: Betty Simpson of Sydney Mines, N.S.; sisters-in-law: Margaret Kennedy (Jim), Annie Joyce, Mary Britain (Orville) of Colorado Springs and brother-in-law: Jim Power. Joan will be sadly missed by her many relatives and friends and her second “family”, the staff and residents at Chancellor Park, where she resided for the past three years. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday, October 14th and Wednesday, October 15th from 12 noon to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday, October 16th, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church, Waterford Bridge Road. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice. The family would like to thank the staff at Chancellor Park for the wonderful and loving care that was given to Mom, she thought of you as “family” and it made us happy to know she was so comfortable and well cared for.
