At the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, of Nelder William Costain, of the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, age 72 years. Born in Miminegash on April 19, 1937, son of the late Elmer and Pearl (Cannon) Costain. He is survived by daughter, Faye (Bill) George, Courtney, B.C., son, Terry (Donna), Toronto, Ont., and son, Tony, New York, U.S.A. He is also survived by three grandsons, Brian, Jacob and Ryan. Sister-in-laws, Noelle Costain, O’Leary, Frances Costain, Miminegash, and Uela Costain of Summerside. Dear brother to Goldie Brennan, Elmsdale, Hedley (Marcella), Brockton, Major (Priscilla), Alberton, Lucina Costain (Joe Hogan), Tignish, Brenda (Bill) Wedge, Elmsdale, Vernon (Dianne), Kamloops, B.C., Darrell, Lethbridge, Alta., Gary (Bernice) and Darris, Miminegash. Predeceased by brothers, Emerson, Everett, Tom, Jarvis, and sisters, Aletha Nordstrom and Velda Ellsworth. Resting at Rooney’s Funeral Home, Alberton, from where the funeral will be held Sunday, June 28, at 2:30 p.m., Rev. John A.C. Wilson officiating. Visiting hours Saturday, 6 to 9. Interment in Miminegash United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Miminegash United Church Cemetary or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
