Grieve not for me,
though I am gone,
For I am with you still.
God grant you strength to carry on
And understand His will
SHEARER, Jamie Peter, Truro. - Jamie was born April 6, 1974 in Truro, Nova Scotia and has left us at the very early age of 36. Jamie passed away at home in Truro on December 14, 2010 with his mother, Faye Lauther and older brother, Michael Shearer by his side.
Jamie was loved by all who had the privilege to know him. The main focus of Jamie's life was his mother to whom he was devoted and his brother, Michael, who was always there to support him. The apple of Jamie's eye were his cousins, Brett, Jordan and little Brody, who will surely miss their cousin. Jamie had a great love towards animals and his cats were his pride and joy. His passion for chocolate and candy was well known as he was seldom without a supply to satisfy his sweet tooth. He excelled at baseball and had many other loves such as bowling, playing cards and was always keen to watch a good fireworks display. Jamie was most recently employed with Burger King, where all the management and staff will miss him greatly.
Jamie leaves behind the ones he loved the most, his family, mother, Faye Lauther; father, Geordie Shearer; brothers, Michael, Donnie, Blake; sister, Amanda Shearer; grandmother, Ann Lauther (husband, late Smiley Lauther, deceased December 5, 2010); grandmother, Florence Shearer (husband, late Alex Shearer); numerous aunts, uncles and cousins with a special mention to Troy and Todd Lauther and recently deceased uncle, late Perry Shearer, who passed away on November 15, 2010. With Jamie leaving this world his guardian angel will miss him dearly and will have a void in her heart.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, December 20, 2010, The Reverend Lori Ramsey officiating. Reception will follow. Interment in Terrace Hill Cemetery. Flowers welcome or a donation in Jamie's memory to SPCA are welcomed. Why cry for a soul set free?
For this is a journey that we all must take and each must go alone,
miss me a little but not too long and not with your head bowed low,
remember the love we once shared - miss me, but let me go.
