WOODFORD, Margaret M. — Passed away peacefully at St. Patrick’s Mercy home on her 81st birthday on October 12th, 2008. Margaret Woodford of Conche and Labrador City. Predeceased by her husband James in 1991 and her parents William and Alice Hynes Symmonds. Left to cherish her memory are her four daughters and eight sons: Mary Hynes, St.John’s, Theresa Hunt, Mount Pearl, Sandra Woodford Costello, Labrador City and Priscilla Pond, Victoria, BC. John, St. John’s, Patrick, Eugene, Gerard, Kevin all living in Edmonton. Gerald and Don, Labrador City, and Anthony, Conche. She is also survived by her daughters-in-law: Ursula, Ann, Beverly, Sharon and Michelle. Sons-in-law; Leo Hynes, Les Hunt (deceased), Gene Costello and Ken Pond. Grandmother will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Tami Hynes, Jennifer Hynes, Mardian, Sheri and Sheldon Woodford, Deirdre, Dean and Tyler Hunt, Jody Ollerhead, Miranda Neelen, and Sean Woodford, Jim and Patrick Woodford, Andrew and Ashley Woodford, Connor and Colton Woodford, Michael, Ryan and Emily Costello, Justin and Jared Pond. Her great-grandchildren are William Grabowski, Nicolas Mardian, Morgan Woodford, James Woodford, Aurora, Carter, Maxkenzie, Brianna and Sierra Hunt, Brandon Neelen and Baby Mardian due next month. Margaret will be fondly remembered by her in-laws: Mary Jane Symmonds and Gerald Fitzgerald in Conche and Lizzie Symmonds in St. Anthony. A special thank you to the staff at 2 North at Escasoni and 3 East at St. Patrick’s Mercy home. The kindness of Fr. Maddigan and the sisters at St.Patricks Mercy home provided a great comfort to our mom. Resting at Caul’s Funeral home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Following cremation and Mass of Christian burial she will be laid to rest beside her husband in Conche on Thursday at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Daffodil Place or to any food bank.
