Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family at the Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, age 76. Born in Beiseker, Alberta on November 30, 1932. She was a retired teacher from St. Pius X School. Leaving to mourn is her husband D.J. (Jerry) Murphy. Beloved mother of Heather (James Megill) of Cornwall, Ontario, Noel Murphy (Cecily Strickland) of St. John’s, Norah Murphy of Toronto and Tara Murphy of St. John’s. Much loved grandmother of Bruce, Rosemarie, Camille and Kier. Sister of Elaine Bunyan (Calgary), Roger Meidinger (Calgary) and Rosemarie Meidinger (Ladysmith, B.C.) Predeceased by her parents Frederick and Emma Meidinger, and son Timothy Murphy. Visitation at Carnell’s Funeral Home on Sunday, June 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial Service at Carnell's Chapel on Monday, June 29, at noon. No flowers by request.
