Wendell MacArthur
Wendell C. MacArthur of Central Waterville, NB passed away December 21, 2010 at Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in 1936 at Woodstock, NB, he was a son of the late Clarence A. and Beatrice D. (Graham) MacArthur. Wendell was a member of the Nackawic Lions Club. He was part-owner of Triple M Trucking and before his retirement, was employed as a mechanic at Valley Forest.
Wendell is survived by his wife of 55 years, Juanita T. (Watson) MacArthur; a daughter, Ann-Marie MacArthur (Jean-Marc), Sturgeon Falls, ON and her children, Anthony Christie (Natasha), Kristopher Christie and Melanie Christie (Dale); two sons, Robert MacArthur (Angela), Central Waterville, NB and their children, Melissa MacArthur and Robert MacArthur Jr, Wendell MacArthur Jr. (Lucianna), Saint John, NB and their daughter, Alexandria MacArthur; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Graham, Forest City, NB, Donna Gaugh (Stephen), Moncton, NB and Ruth Murray, Woodstock, NB; a brother, Thomas Murray (Irene), Elmira, ON; his step-father, Fred Murray, Woodstock, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours will beheld at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Kevin Borthwick officiating. Interment will be at a later date. A Lions Club Tribute Service will be held on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Wendell, the family has suggested the Louise Breau Memorial Medical Trust Fund.
