It is with deep regret that we, the family, announce the passing of Arthur Dominey on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Louisbourg, he was the son of the late Arthur Dominey and Mrs. Mary (MacIntyre) Dominey, Louisbourg.
Arthur worked all his life as an engineer on draggers for the National Sea Products Ltd., at the Louisbourg plant.
Recently he enjoyed operating his VHF radios assisting many fishing vessels acting as their liaison between sea and land.
His voice will be missed.
Besides his mother, Mary; Arthur is survived by his children, John, Marla, Scott and Jody (Robin); eight grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra and Darlene (Albert); one niece and one nephew.
He was predeceased by his father, Arthur Sr. (2006).
Cremation has taken place. Interment will be held 11 a.m Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, in Willow Grove Cemetery, Louisbourg.
