It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Leone Campbell, 75, of Reserve Mines passed away at her residence on Friday, Dec. 24, 2010.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Remegius (Marsh) MacMullin.
Leone was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Reserve Mines. She loved her family very much. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was an avid Blue Jay fan.
Leone will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 49 years, Joe Campbell, Reserve Mines; daughters, Colleen (Hughie) Ellsworth, Dominion, Ann (Bobby) Mills, Reserve Mines; cherished grandchildren, Michael Ellsworth and Amanda Mills; brother, Allan (Lorraine) MacMullin; sisters, Polly Tighe, New Victoria, Alene Burchell, Verna (Steve) Petrie, New Waterford, Colleen (Murray) Billard, Louisbourg, Velma (Jim) Dawson, Reserve Mines, Peggy Currie, Reserve Mines; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Leone was predeceased by her sisters, Audrey MacMullin, Lorriane Bourgeois, Janis Heffernan, Billy MacMullin, Lila Gillis and beloved nephew, Christopher Butts.
Leone was the last surviving member of the MacMullin triplets.
There will be no visitation for Leone Campbell by request. A funeral mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at St. Joseph's Church, Reserve Mines, with Fr. Leo Boone officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
