The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Dec. 24, 2010, of Clifford Joseph Wedge of Summerside, aged 89 years. Clifford was born on Aug. 29, 1921, in Summerside, to his late parents Emmanuel and Elizabeth (nee Arsenault) Wedge. Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Oldford) Wedge and loving father of David (Barb) of Summerside, Janet (Wendell) Grady of Summerside, Lloyd (Elizabeth) of St. Eleanors, Clarence (Muriel) of Summerside, Keith (Steven) of Summerside, Roger (Debbie) of Summerside, Betty Jean Wedge (Reg Nicholson) of Freetown and Owen (Melinda) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Clifford was predeceased by a son Michael in infancy, his grandchildren Crystal Joy and David Wedge, his brothers Verno and Lloyd Wedge and his sister Nina Cameron. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Wednesday, Dec. 29, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations in Clifford's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
