It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ethel Kennedy, 60, a resident of Hamilton, Ont., formerly, Donkin, N.S.
Ethel passed away suddenly Dec. 24, 2010, at her home in Hamilton.
Born in Donkin, she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Martha (Walton) Kennedy.
Mom's greatest joy was her family.
Ethel is survived by her daughter, Lori Rumbolt (Stephen Copland), Hamilton; son, Bradley (Barbara) Kennedy, Port Morien; brother, Jimmy (Carol) Kennedy, Glace Bay; sister, Lovella (Courtney) Murphy, Victoria, B.C.; grandchildren, Alicia, Ashley, Kyle, Katie and Riley and one great-grandchild, Damien.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Billy, and twin sister, Esther.
Interment will take place at a later date in St. Luke's Cemetery, Donkin, N.S.
Donations in Ethel's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Palliative Care or a charity of one's choice.
