On Dec. 17, 2010, our little angel, Tristan Cole Matthews, was called to heaven. He was the son of Alicia Conrad and J. Daniel Matthews of Sydney.
Tristan is survived by paternal grandparents, Dolores (Matthews) and Brian Curran; maternal grandparents, Brenda Selvet (Delbert) and Lawrence Conrad (Brenda); paternal grandfather, Gary Steylen, biological father of J.D.; uncle, Kyle Curran; aunt, Sabatina Conrad; cousin, Carlee Conrad; Leah Steylen, J.D.'s half sister; maternal great-grandparents, Frank and Pauline Selvet.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 380 Smith St., New Waterford with Fr. Doug MacDonald and Rev. Gloria Fraser officiating. Following the service, a gathering of family and friends will be held at 89 Rockdale Ave., Sydney.
