Kenneth Polly

Kenneth K. Polly, age 90, died peacefully at his home in Upper Cape on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 surrounded by his loving wife Margaret Rose (Scott) Futter, special cousin and friend, Willa Thomas-McLellan, and his family and friends. Born in Bayside, he was a son of the late, William and Lila (Allen) Polly. Throughout his life, Kenneth had been a woodsman, fisherman, and farmer. He was a loving and compassionate man who will be greatly missed. He is survived by a sister Azora Mills; brothers, Carl (Doris) Pauley and Ray (Joan) Pauley; step daughters, Lee Ann Niles, Kim (Sean) Boultbee, and Kelly Futter; step grandchildren, Natasha Niles, Miranda and Dawson Boultbee; special step granddaughter, Jenna Butler; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, James Scott, and sisters-in-law, Betty (Herbert) Thomas, Isabel Pauley and Roberta Pauley. Besides his parents, Kenneth was predeceased by his brothers Milford, Ivan, and Alton as well as two sisters, Leota (Marvin) Wall and Hattie (Harmen) Nicholson. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main, Port Elgin (538-2241). Visitation was held from the funeral home 7-9 p.m., Thursday, December 23, 2010, and on Friday, December 24, from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 2 pm. Rev. Carman Webb officiated. Following the service, Kenneth was laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin.
