Suddenly at the Western Hospital Alberton on Tuesday Dec. 28, 2010 of Francis Joseph (Frank) Bernard of 255 Phillip St., Tignish and formerly of Beeton, Ont., age 64 years. Beloved husband to Anna B. (nee Iwankiewicz) Bernard. Born on April 12, 1946 he was the son of Gerard and the late Eva (nee Doucette) Bernard. Cherished father to Jason (Karen) of Brampton Ont., and Brenda (Perry) Hynes of Brampton, Ont. Loving grandfather to Jodi and Jason. Dear son of Gerard and step son of Auldine Bernard of Nail Pond,and brother to Edward (Sheila) Bernard of Christopher's Cross; Hazel (Ed) Domaracki) of Nail Pond; Eugene (Anne) Bernard of Christopher's Cross; Darlene (Late Leonard) Perry of St.Felix. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Eva and by his brother Terry. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Friday Dec. 31, from St. Simon and St. Judes Church Tignish for funeral mass at 1 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery. If so desired memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Western Hospital or Prince County Hospital would be gratefully appreciated.
