It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful father, loving grandfather, devoted brother, nephew and friend, William ‘Billy’ C. Ludlow which occurred Saturday, June 27, 2009 at his residence.
Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of the late William Ambrose ‘Chip’ and Jean Elizabeth (Kelly) Ludlow. Billy was a dedicated employee of Devco for 23 years, He enjoyed playing darts, shooting pool, reading and most of all, spending time with his grandson, playing ball, building blocks, reading, playing video games and going to the store for a treat.
He is survived by his pride and joy, his children, son, Christopher, Alberta; daughter, Jennifer, Glace Bay; grandchildren, Heidi, Alberta and Zachery, Glace Bay; sister, Marilyn (Keith) Simon, Port Hawkesbury; special aunt, Helen Roach; aunt, Lila Ludlow; nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Curry’s Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday 2 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Rev. Leo Boone officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
