At the Grand Falls General Hospital, December 31, 2010, Mr. Ovide Ouellette of New Denmark passed away at the age of 85. He was the husband of the late Leitha (Fournier). Born at Drummond in 1925, he was a son of the late Alfred and Rose (Parent) Ouellette. He is survived by two daughters, Theresa Martin (Narcisse) and Hilda Lloyd (Donald), daughter-in-law, Brenda Ouellette (late Hubert), all of New Denmark, 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, one brother, Camille (Claudette) of Montreal, seven sisters, Beatrice Vaillancourt of Grand Falls, Delima Bernier of New Denmark, Adelina Ouellette (Luc) of Drummond, Dorilla Stiles (Edwin) of Currie Road, Edwina Fournier (Herman) of Perth-Andover, Rina Stiles (Leon) of Lakeville and Jeannette Caissie of Drummond, sisters-in-law, Lizanne (late Octave), Theresa (late Alcide) and Charlene (late Conrad), several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a very dear friend, Mrs. Phyllis MacDonald of New Denmark and her family. He was predeceased by his son, Hubert, five brothers, Octave, Alcide, Prime, Conrad and Baptiste.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls. Visiting hours will be Monday, January 3rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, January 4th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 4th at 11 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Blue Bell with Father Curtis Sappier officiating.
