Edgar Doucet, 61, of Riverview passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late William Doucet and the late Irène Bastarache. He worked as a security agent at the Moncton Airport and previously as a foreman with the Bridges and Buildings at CN.
He is survived by his three children: Sandra Long (Richard) of Dieppe, Peggy Doucet (Kevin Jones) of Riverview and Herbert "Herbie" Doucet of Moncton; six sisters: Eva Melanson (Omer), Jeannine Poirier (Gerald), Nélida Deveau (Néri), Rose Doucet (Edouard) and Shirley Doucet all of Moncton and Stella Lewis (Billy) of Dieppe; four brothers: William
(Marie-Paule), Paul and Alcide (Gisèle) all of Moncton and Pierre (Linda) of Alberta; three grandchildren: Caitlyn, Courtney and Colby and by a special friend Ida Aubut of Dieppe. He is predeceased by an infant brother Roger.
An avid Country Music fan, he often attended Lakeside Hall and Johnathan Hall on Mountain Road, Dick's Jamboree in Amherst, NS and The Barn.
Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 88 Church St., Moncton (858-1900) on Tuesday, from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. ONLY.
