Mary H. Lane, 94, of Riverview, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday January 1st, 2011. Born in St. Eleanors, PEI, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Fanny (Andrew) Hunt. Mary was a retired teacher and librarian. She was a member of St. John The Baptist Anglican Church and the A.C.W., Riverview. Mary was also a member of the Alexandra Society of the University of King's College and King's College Alumna Association. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. Mary will be sadly missed by her sons, Richard (Sheila), Riverview; Stephen (Linda), Ottawa, ON; precious grandchildren, Dale (Dinie), Lisa, Heather (Colin), Stephanie (Jeff) and Alison; treasured great grandchildren, Spencer, Pyper, Samantha, Alexandra, Madison and Connor; several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, the late Canon J. Edison Lane (1976); sisters, Isabella, Jessie, Janet, Margaret and Frances.
No visitation hours by personal request. Funeral Service to be held at St. John The Baptist Anglican Church ,(28 Woolridge St.), Riverview, Wednesday January 5, 2011, 1:30pm, Rev. Brent Ham officiating. Interment, St. Andrew's Anglican Cemetery, Wallace, NS.
