Ena Valentyne (Parsons) (Stephens) Smith, 84, passed away December 31, 2010 at the Sussex Health Centre, Sussex, New Brunswick. Ena was born in Walton, Nova Scotia on February 15, 1926, a daughter of the late Donald and Carrie (Munro) (Parsons) Beckman and was the wife of the late Carl Smith of Kensington, PE. She is survived by sons Donald of Moose Jaw, SK; Glen Barry (Nancy), Gregory (Debbie) both of Sussex and Karen Brenda (Glenn) Hindley of Port Stanley, ON; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister Minnie (Bob) Stern of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Ena was predeceased by her brother Mortimer; son Darrell Bruce and Gary and daughter Marilyn. Ena was a lifetime member of the Kensington, PE Legion. She loved to knit, play crib, shuffleboard and doing her word searches.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held on January 6, 2011, from 7 to 9PM at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville, NS (902-633-2431). Interment will be at a later date.
