Robert S. Richelle - 76, of Halifax, formerly of Kentville. It is with a heavy heart that the family of Bob Richelle announces his passing on Thursday, December 23, 2010 after a very short and courageous battle with cancer. To him his greatest accomplishment was his family who were never more proud of him than during this battle where he showed his determination and strength. Born in Montreal, he was the son of the late John Richelle and the late Olive (Price) Richelle. He was a devoted husband, son-in-law, father and grandfather dedicating his life first and foremost to his family. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anne (McCartney); his mother-in-law, Ilene McCartney, Strathroy, Ontario; a daughter, Roban (Tom) Gutowski, Kentville; sons, Bruce (Nadine), Winnipeg, Manitoba; Brian (Mia), Halifax; Brad (Joanne), Mansfield, Ontario. His legacy continues with the next generation, his pride and joy, Stephanie, Michael, Jennifer, Jacqueline, Taylor, Tara, Nicholas, Erin and Colin. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There was no visitation, by request. A private family graveside service was held in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. The Richelle family would like to thank those at the QEII and the VG for their care and kindness during his final days. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
