It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Ann Beverly Place (nee Hardy), who passed away peacefully on January 4, 2011, at the age of 92. Formerly of Charlottetown and Mayfield, P.E.I.
Predeceased by her first husband, Trask O'Neill Johnson and by her second husband, John Thomas "Mickey" Place; son, Mark; and infant sons, Frederick and Philip.
Loving mother to Barbara (Wilfred D. Lawrence), Michael, Mary (Mark Zamparo), William K (Gail) and Gregory. Dear Nana to Tracy, Barry, Dylan, Monty, Lee, John, Lindsay, Eric, Alison and David, and great-grandmother to Colin, Katy, Emily, Zoe and Masha. Cherished friend of Erin Flynn Arsenault.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Andrews of Stratford and the Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge for their compassionate care.
A visitation will be held at the Hennessey Funeral Home on Friday, January 7, from 2 to 4 p.m., immediately followed by funeral service in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Island Nature Trust or the P.E.I. Humane Society in memory of Bev would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
