Orisy Jean Welton (Matheson) 
Aged 85, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in River Philip, Cumb. Co., she was a daughter of the late Byron and Rachael (Powers) Matheson.Orisy spent her whole life in the Cumb. Co. area living in River Philip, Springhill, Rodney, Collingwood and Amherst. She was an adherent of the United Church of Canada and was employed for a period of time at Oxford Frozen Foods.She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Rose MacIsaac (Gerry) of Amherst; sons, David, Guelph, ON, Harry (Sandra), Salmon Arm, BC and Ross of BC; six grandchildren, Samantha, Malcolm, Sarah, Shawn, Scott and Claire; six great grandchildren, Jade, Jordan, Skylar, Ethan, Evelyn and Quinn; five sisters, Muriel Colborne and Freda Dickie, both of Oxford, NS, Leona Brown and Launa Dickie, both of Amherst and Ione (Harold) Edgett, Sackville, NB. She will also be sadly missed by Mary Ann Welton and family of Miramichi, NB, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Adrian, a sister Thelma and brothers, Malcolm, Cliff and Ray.Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, Amherst, (667-8777). A graveside service will be held at the Rodney Cemetery on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 2 pm. No visitation or memorial service by request.
