At home in Chipman, on January 5th, 2011 Louis (Luc) Savoie passed away at the age of 85 years of age. Survived by his loving wife, Pauline (Brown). Luc was predeceased by his parents Octave and Alphonsine (Robichaud) Savoie. Predeceased by his brother Venance Savoie and his sister Marie-Anne Savoie. He is survived by his daughter Marie (Wayne) Wainwright of Chipman; son Wendell (Brenda) Brown of Minto; by his sisters, Louisa (Ray) McCallum of Quebec, Cecile Savoie of Quebec, Eveline (Francis) Caissie of Moncton and Marie (Ron) Lowry of Moncton; by brothers, Zephirin (Helene) Savoie of Neguac and Gerald Savoie of Rogersville; grandchildren, Denise (Rob) Vidito, Debbie (Jake) Pead, Andrew and Matthew Wainwright; two great-grandchildren, Sydney Vidito and Henry Pead. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Resting at Chipman Funeral Home where the family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 6th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 7th, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Chipman with Father Paul Bebodu Officiating. Interment will be made at Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
