It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Edith, a resident at Miners Memorial Manor, Sydney Mines, passed away Jan. 3, 2011, at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in Alder Point, Edith was the daughter of the late John W. and Mary E. Pearo.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, John 'Beezer' Carey; her daughters, Ann Marie (Thomas) Gillis, Jeannie (Ralph) Harrietha and Linda; her sons, Richard (Candace), Kevin and Blaise (Thelma) Carey. She was especially proud of her grandchildren, Courtney, Cory, Erica, Kyle, Alexandria, Meighan, Emma, Connor, Shaelyn and Noah.Also surviving are her sisters, Debbie, Lorna and Myrtle and her brother, Raymond.
She was predeceased by her son, John, her sisters, Joan and Isabel and her brother, Richard.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Burial at a later date.
