It is with great sadness that the family of the late JOHN J. SLANEY of St. Lawrence announces his passing at The Health Science Centre in St. John's on Wednesday December 29, 2010 at the age of 77. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are brother Peter (Sylvia) Slaney of St. Lawrence; sister in law Sheila Slaney of St. Lawrence; special nephews Jim (Sheila) Slaney of Bauline, and Sam Slaney of St. Lawrence; special niece Mary Ann (Jack) Strang of Lawn; a large number of nieces and nephews; plus a large circle of family and friends. Pre-deceased by parents James & Elizabeth Slaney; brothers William & Andrew Slaney; and sisters Ann Norman & Mary Ann Slaney. Funeral Mass took place on Friday December 31, 2010 at 2:00pm. Interment followed at Mt. Cecilia R.C. Cemetery in St. Lawrence. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Wiseman's Funeral Homes.
