Eleanor Cameron
Eleanor M. Cameron, 93, of People's Park Tower and formerly of Broadway St., Moncton, with family members at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Born in Demoiselle Creek, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Stella (Alcorn) Wilson. Eleanor, with her late husband Allan, were former co-owners of Chappy's Store on Elmwood Drive. She was a long time member of Humphrey Memorial United Church, the UCW and former Choir member. Eleanor was one of the founders of The Braesiders Seniors Group. She enjoyed playing bridge, Scrabble, knitting, crocheting, painting and socializing with her friends and family. Eleanor will be sadly missed by her nephews, Brian Tingley (Susan), Riverview, Robert Tingley (Mary), Fredericton, Gerry Pinkerton (Jan), Doug Pinkerton (Astrid), both of BC, Allan Peters (Colleen), Dartmouth and many cousins. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Allan; daughter, Faye and sisters, Alice and Aileen.
No visitation by personal request. Celebration of Life Service for Eleanor at Humphrey Memorial United Church on Monday, January 10, 2011, 2:00 pm, Rev. Gayle MacDonald officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery. Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements.
