It is with great sadness that the family of the late Thelma Mary Reid (nee Bennett) announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the age of 80 years. Leaving to mourn all her children: William (Hazel), Ivy (Russ), Joyce, Terry (Judy), Gloria (Wayne), Christine (Clint), Grace (Carl), Bonnie, Glenda (Junior), Christopher (Michelle), Phoebe, Fulton, Roxann (Doug), Corey (Shanda), Nancy (Phillip); her 26 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is survived by five sisters: Rita (Rendell), Ivy (Doug), Kathleen (Reuben), Greta and Eileen and one brother, Addalin (Jenny). Also left to mourn are a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and extended families. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Henry Reid on March 10, 2009. Friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, January 10th at 2:00 p.m. at Russell's Funeral Home Chapel, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville with Rev. Canon Dawn Barrett officiating. Interment to follow in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
