The family of the late Sylvia Walsh (nee Parsons) announce her peaceful passing on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville at the age of 75 years. Beloved wife of Fred Walsh. She also leaves to mourn sisters and brothers, Geraldine Pike of Coldbrook, NS, Gertrude Kevershan (Milton) of Las Vegas, NV, Alf Parsons (Gen) of Stephenville, Sam Parsons (Linda) of Tonopah, NV, and Wanda McLellan (Bruce) of Coldbrook, NS and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Also left to mourn are brothers-in-law Den Walsh of Holyrood, Wil Walsh (Elaine) of Holyrood and Michael Walsh of Stephenville. Friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Friday, January 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 8th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen's Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted.
