COVE, Robert Joseph (1936-2008)–Former Irish Christian Brother (St. Patrick’s Hall, 1957-61); St. Bonaventure’s College, 1961-66); teacher and principal (St. Lawrence, 1966-87), Marine Engineer (Northern Cruiser Ltd., St. John’s, 1989-99). Born in Petty Harbour, January 30th, 1936, died at St. John’s on October 15th, 2008. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary on January 8th, 2008. Survived by one daughter Lucy, St. John’s; three sons; Robert (Mariette), Paradise, NL, William, Ottawa, ON., and Albert (Lynn), Ottawa, ON; one brother Bill (Helen), Grand Prairie, AB; three sisters: Betty Morey (William - deceased), St. John’s, NL, Lucy Earles (Cyril - deceased), St. John’s, NL and Rita Kieley (John), Goulds, NL; special friends: Lynette Richard, Rothesay, NB and a large circle of relatives and friends including special cousins Robert and Patsy Howlett; special brother-in-law Victor Turpin (Mary), Corner Brook; three sisters-in-law: Agnes Lees, Corner Brook, Nora Rector, Burlington, ON and Flo Ftizpatrick, Oshawa. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road. Visitation to take place on Thursday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Cremation to follow. Funeral mass on Saturday, October 18th, 2008 at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph's Church, Petty Harbour. Inurnment to follow at the R.C. Cemetery, Petty Harbour. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Centre.
