October 3, 1927 - January 8, 2011 - Returning to God the gift of his life in the manner in which he had lived it, Edward (Ned) peacefully entered into eternal life. Predeceased by his mother, Mary; father, Daniel; brothers, Gerard and Cecil. Left with cherished memories are his sisters Margaret, Beth, Rose (Ray), Josephine, Jean (Paul), and Marion; brothers Harold (Ketty), Frank, Bern and Reg (Pegi). Thankful for their years of loyal friendship is his special friend Patricia and her family. Uncle Ned will be fondly remembered by his many nephews and nieces especially his two godchildren, Lori and Paula. Ned also leaves to celebrate his life a circle of close friends. Deepest appreciation for their care is extended to Dr. McKelvie at Whitbourne Clinic and the staff at Placentia Hospital. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place 2 p.m. on Monday at St. Jerome's Church in Long Harbour.
