Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, January 8, 2011, Capt. Gordon R. Skinner of Harbour Grace, age 80 years. Predeceased by parents: Wesley and Elizabeth; brother: Marvin. Leaving to mourn loving wife of 60 years: Ida; two daughters: Judy (Melvin), Carbonear and Shari (Jim) Bouzane, British Columbia; two sons: Donald (Maureen), Bristol's Hope and Keith (Marie), Harbour Grace; six grandchildren: Kelley (Bob), Gregory (Cindy), Deanna (Phonse), Dawne, Stephanie (Trevor) and Christa (Jonathan); seven great-grandchildren: Brock, Oliver, Irelande, Ellie, Ethan, Zander and Maxwell; one sister: Sadie Skinner, Marystown; sister-in-law: Sally Skinner, Scarborough, ON; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
