Kenneth LeRoy "Lee" Hudson - 64, of Hantsport, went home to be with his Lord, Thursday, December 30, 2010. Born in Annapolis Royal, he was a son of Ulla (Ellis) Hudson, Port Wade, Annapolis County and the late Kenneth Eugene Hudson. He was an active member of the New Minas Baptist Church, with a deep faith and unwavering love and devotion for his Lord. His greatest pride was his grandchildren and family. He had been employed with Nova Scotia Power for 28 years, was self employed as a safety consultant, worked with Fluor Canada as a safety advisor at Irving Oil, Saint John, New Brunswick and most recently worked as a safety manager with Stantec at Imperial Oil, Dartmouth. An avid golfer, he was a member of Eden Golf and Country Club, Paradise and was also a member of the Valley Seniors. He is survived by his wife, the former Sylvia McMullin; three daughters, Leeanne Hudson (Ken Riedl), Springfield, Ohio; Michelle (Shane) Ferneyhough, Bedford; Lindsey (Jamie) Spinney, Kentville; two sons, Brad (Sara) Cameron, Bridgetown; Adam (Chantel) Cameron, Cole Harbour; seven grandchildren, Alex, Alyssa, Ethan, Ella, Garrison, Raea and Jordan; an unborn grandchild; a sister, Shirley Hudson, Upper Clements; a brother, Keith (Wendy), Halifax. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Kentville. There was no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 1, 2011 in the New Minas Baptist Church,Reverend Doctor Robert Knowles officiating. A private family burial took place in the Garden of Peace Cemetery, Victoria Beach, Annapolis County. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the New Minas Baptist Church, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Valley Regional Hospital - Palliative Care.
