Mr. Bernard J. Melanson of Waltham, MA, died Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the age of 67. Born in Moncton, on October 17, 1943, he was the son of the late Thaddee and Geneva (LeBlanc) Melanson. He was mason contractor. He leaves his wife, Elizabeth "Emma" (Cassie); his children Maurice and Phillip Melanson of Waltham, Yvette Fagan of Ashburnham and Monique Randall of Lincoln, Mass; brothers and sisters Gloria (Gérard) LeBlanc of Dieppe, Claudette (Roger) Richard, Sylvia (late Bob) Clancy, late Raymond (Michelle) Melanson and Emery (Gisèle) Melanson all of Moncton, Francis (Maria) Melanson of Grande-Digue, Murielle (Vincent) DesRoches of Saint-Antoine and Bernice (Bernard) LeBlanc of Waltham. He is also survived by six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held in Waltham on Friday, January 7, 2011 at his parish of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
