The death of Edith Kathleen Parker of Spencer Memorial Nursing Home, Salisbury, NB and formerly of Whitney, NB, occurred on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at her residence at the age of 88. Born in Whitney, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Olive (Mutch) Parker. She was a member of the Whitney Baptist Church and a homemaker. Edith is survived by: one brother: Claude Parker (Harriet) of Moncton, NB; sister in law: Maudie Parker of Miramichi, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she is predeceased by: brothers: Wendell and Carl.
The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 2 PM with Pastor Wilbur Matthews officiating. Burial will take place in the Whitney Baptist Cemetery later in the spring. In Edith's memory, donations may be made to the Whitney Baptist Cemetery or to a memorial of one's choice.
